Acted like a friend-turned out to be a telemarketer

Did not pick up this call. It was called to a mobile number registered in Toronto, Canada.

Says he is promoting online classes but when looked up number this number has been listed as an Indian man. The person who called was Indian and was listed under this number as a debt collector using deceptive impersonation to obtain info and continues to call on reverse lookup number is listed as land line

This is a bill collector masquerading as the legal database company Lexis Nexis.

called a few times did not leave message wont let me call back

they call 3 times a day when I asked them to take me off the call list they told me to tell someone about them and hung up.

Someone keep calling me on my cellphone they called today asking me how many payday loans do I have I told them that I am not interested

debt collector on payday loans. Kaufman Hines & Associates I believe is the name. Senior Investigator Maxwell Perry is extremely unprofessional. I owed a payday loan but it was being handled by another division called Hoffman Swartz & Assoc. This Maxwell Perry called me a liar. I had the rep handling my case with Hoffman call this Inv. Perry. It was a duplicate. He never apologized for anything nasty he said. SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!!!!!!!

Their auto caller has a press 1 to speak with a loan modification specialist or 2 to get removed from the list. If you press 2 you get "option is not valid" and 1 is the only one that is valid. You end up waiting for 10 minutes before you are connected with someone. I found out it is a mortgage refinance company. I told them I do not have a home and live in an apartment. He said, "Why didn't you just press 2" I informed him about the error and he said "oh" I informed him I do not own a house and he said he would remove me for the list. I said that this is a cell phone and he got snippy and hung up on me.

I have gotten the same call from a lady who wanted me to call back and wished me luck if I didn't. Reading some of these makes me wonder, I did try for a loan to pay for my moms' funeral in January, is that how they got my number? I never took a loan out and payed on time with the funeral home (the bill is paid off). I have clean credit, everything was just gone thru since I recently bought a house. Must be a scam.
